"Analysis is the most elaborate and nuanced view of the mind
that we have."  Eric Kandel, MD

The 2011 - 2012 Psychodiagnostic group will begin on Tuesday September 20, 2011.  We will meet from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm twice monthly.  The PDGS will meet at the GIM offices at 126 E. Broadway, Missoula, Montana 59802.

In addition to the following, we will be focusing heavily this academic year on the work of Lacan and Bion.  We will begin by introducing Lacan and focusing his work on the understanding of psychosis.  We will begin by reading a selection of articles from "Ecris" by Jacques Lacan.  From Lacan we will integrate the writings of Bion and his work on projective-identification.  We will also be adding the requirement by group members to produce a final paper that will be presented at the groups final sessions.

A maximum of 8 group members will be selected for admission to the group.  If you are interested please call 1-406-270-5325 or send an email to gestaltmt@yahoo.com indicating your interest.

We will also focus heavily on case presentations and case studies involving work with difficult patients and conceptualizing and understanding psychotic process.

I anticipate this particular group filling quickly.  If you are interested please secure your spot early.
